Beasto Blanco make a highly anticipated Monstrous Things Tour stop in Louisville with Sinful Lilly, Day of Ruin, Memory and Nothing Wrong

It’s not often you have a chance to catch a band like Beasto Blanco, period.  But to be able to see them in a smallish club is an opportunity a small but passionate group of Louisville mettalers didn’t pass up.

Stagefront while the band was setting up, the discussion centered around how many shows people were traveling to see and of course Alice Cooper.  After a bit everyone ultimately agreed that ”We were in for a treat as Beasto Blanco was the best band that no one had ever heard of”. The Monstrous Things tour is in support of last year’s self-titled Beasto Blanco album with a very limited 8 shows in 9-day run.

Beasto Blanco was formed in 2012 by Vocalist Chuck Garric (Alice Cooper) and Guitarist Chris Latham. Joining these two on stage in Louisville are Calico Cooper (Alice Cooper’s daughter) on vocals, Jan LeGrow on bass and Sean Sellers on drums.

Starting out fast and furious with the anthem-like “Beasto Blanco” the guys set the tone for how the evening was going to be right from the word go!

Providing main support tonight were the wild and crazy Richmond Kentucky based mettalers, Sinful Lilly. Fronted by Fredi Handshoe with his Bandana, long black hair and steamy guitar you have the feeling of what throwback rock and roll bands used to be like, add in the demonstrative Nikki Valklix on bass and you know you are at a rock show as soon as the lights come up.

It’s always great to see the local support pairings that show promoter Terry Harper Productions assembles at his shows.

From across the river in Scottsdale, Indiana Day of Ruin delivered a fun and heavy Rock/Metal/Progressive/Thrash set of original music while clearly having a great time on stage.

Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Jay Willis, along with drummer Anthony Falcone and bassist Brandon Taylor, Bowling Green Kentucky based Memory delivered a passionate set of original music that everyone seemed to be in to.

Opening the evening were hard rock/metal rockers from Taylorsville, Kentucky Nothing Wrong.  These mask-wearing rockers delivered a short set of original songs that left everyone feeling good.
