Asking Alexandria Frontman, Danny Worsnop Releases Second Solo Album

Shades of Blue, the second solo album by Asking Alexandria’s frontman Danny Worsnop has been scheduled to release by Sumerian Records on May 10, 2019. This album includes the single “Little Did I Know” which was released in 2018.

Danny Worsnop has had a very successful career as a vocalist for bands like We Are Harlot and one of my personal favorites, Asking Alexandria. He has also appeared in several songs as a guest vocalist. The English Singer, Songwriter, Producer, and Actor has been giving us a taste of his diversity through his many projects and showing us there is more to him than meets the eye. His debut solo album was released in 2017 and featured some amazing Country/Rock songs. His latest solo album stays true to his Country/Rock side with a little bit of Blues on the side and it is a pretty damn good combo.

If you want to get hit hard in the feelers, check out “Tomorrow”. It is a beautifully written track on the album, and if you have ever dealt with a decision to leave a relationship and hurt someone in the process, this song will really take you back to those days. It comes in as my favorite song on this album. It brought back emotions I had buried and gave me goosebumps (a sign that the music is good, really good). My second favorite song on this album is “Tell her I Said Hey”. It is one of the many on this album that takes me back to an emotional time in my life. The whole album is filled with lyrics that I believe anyone can relate to. This album feels very personal to me and I think Danny gives us a window into his past with this release.  If you want to check him out live, he is touring now through the end of May in the United States. Last stop is scheduled for May 30, 2019, in Tampa, Florida.

The first two tracks on the album are available now for download on iTunes with the rest of the album being available for download on the Tenth of May. You can also download the currently available singles on Spotify, and you can pre-order the album on Amazon Music.

I give this album an 8 of 10.
