Andy Michaels’ Revisited

Andy Michaels' Revisited
Described in his press release for this new album, Revisited, as adult contemporary, Andy Michaels’ music has more of a folk sound, blended with pop-sensibilities. A talented singer/songwriter, these songs almost have a bit of an 80s vibe to them.

Andy Michaels can be heard on the vocals and guitar, with a little help from the following: Andy Court on backing vocals and keyboard, Sharon Court on vocals and backing vocals, and Kerrie Ironside on vocals and backing vocals.

Aside from being a singer/songwriter and accomplished guitar player, Michaels is also a published poet.

The song that really stood out the most in this collection of 13-tracks was “Angel,” featuring Kerrie Ironside. There is something extremely beautiful about this song. The final track of the album is this same song with a choir backing it up, and it’s divine.
While each song has a bit of a different feel, they all have that relaxing beat that you think of when you think of singer/songwriters. Michaels’ lyrics make it obvious he has a great talent for writing. His vocals sound something reminiscent of a combination of Rod Stewart and Bryan Adams.

If you like good music with a mellow groove and well-written lyrics, with guitar work that would make you jealous, check this out.
