Starting the interview Jamie met the band at the airport where they boarded Dexter’s plane and they took a quick flight near Catalina Island in SoCal. They then headed to the band’s recording studio where they sat down and talked about the band’s legacy from the first meeting as a band to their recent album SUPERCHARGED. Finally Jamie joined them at the rehearsal space where she got to sit in while the band practiced for their upcoming performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! – Watch the performance here.
The performance was just one of many press appearances the band has had in celebration of SUPERCHARGED including a full feature on frontman Dexter Holland in Men’s Health where he talks about his fitness routine, his love of aviation and his dissertation to finish his PHD at USC. Up next the band will headline Punk In the Park Festival tomorrow at San Diego’s Thrive Park and will be performing at iHeart Radio’s Alter Ego at The Forum on January 11th. They will then head overseas on their SUPERCHARGED WORLDWIDE IN ’25 Tour, starting in Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa, before heading to Dubai, with additional dates in South America, Japan, the UK and Europe. In the past few months Dexter has joined numerous music legends including fellow punk legends NOFX for their final show in Los Angeles. He and other punk icons came together to sing “Bro Hymn” onstage to say goodbye to the iconic band. Check out the video HERE. Previously he joined fellow California natives, and legendary American rock band The Beach Boys at Ocean’s Calling Festival. Dexter surprised fans when he performed “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” with The Beach Boys. The Offspring is an American rock band from Garden Grove, California, formed in 1984. Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal, the band’s lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dexter Holland, lead guitarist Noodles, bassist Todd Morse, drummer Brandon Pertzborn and multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy. Over the course of their longstanding career, they have released ten studio albums. The Offspring is often credited—alongside fellow California bands Green Day and Rancid—for reviving mainstream interest in rock in the 1990s. They have sold over 40 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling rock bands in history.
