2026 (Twenty-Twenty SEX) is year of Steel Panther, the band synonymous with sex(ually transmitted diseases).
They made a stop in Norfolk, VA at NorVa on Easter Sunday. Joining them was Tennessee based Country Metal band, Cody Parks & The Dirty South, and they’re the perfect act to add to the party. While everyone is already hopped up on hairspray and hormones, Cody Parks brought the energy to add some head to the banging in the audience. By the time they walked off the stage, there was a sea of horns and hair throbbing to the music.
One at a time, Steel Panther enters the darkened stage, with the electricity for the night growing inch-by-inch with their presence. Once the house lights came on, the stage explodes with hair, spandex, and leather.
After Lexxi’s departure in 2022, Spyder joined the band. Tonight was my introduction to him, and he’s the perfect replacement. While I miss Lexxi’s vanity with his mirror, I appreciated Spyder’s “boobie candies” that he tossed to the crowd.
Throughout the night, fans were regaled with stories of the glamorous rock n roll lifestyle, mostly of nights the members spent with their hands, or each other, and that mysterious sore on their lips.
Halfway through the set, one lucky fan was brought on stage, V’toria, and was serenaded by each band member writing an individual love song to her…and her boobs…and butthole. She was then joined by 16 of her closest friends as the band sang “17 Girls in a Row.”
Each member got to show of their musical prowess. Satchel had a guitar solo where he absolutely shredded his axe, then came at the finish. Stix Zandinia got to beat his drums harder than he beat his meat all night, and Michael Starr of course got to hit those notes that only rock legends can hit.
Steel Panther ended the night thanking all the boyfriends for bringing their girls to the show, albeit a mistake for the boyfriends. To make up for it, they lead a love song for all the couples to sing along to, “Community Property,” then their biggest hit, “Gloryhole.”
Fans left the night searching for their own glory hole and revved up on hair metal, attacking the week with the attitude of Death to All But Metal.
Steel Panther still has a few dates left on their tour, as well as some fun projects to celebrate their Feel the Steel album anniversary. Make sure you follow their socials and head to steelpanther.com for their updates, and check out Cody Parks & The Dirty South to get the party started!
