Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena played host to ‘The Revolution’s Live Tour’ on Wednesday night. The tour features multi-platinum selling artist, Shinedown with special guests The Pretty Reckless and Diamante. Shinedown are set to release their seventh studio album Planet Zero on July 1, and will spend most of the year out on the road touring in support of the upcoming release.

The guys are already seeing the success of the upcoming album with the single “Planet Zero,” which just notched the band their 18th #1 at Active Rock Radio, with the hopes the latest single, “The Saints of Violence and Innuendo” will hit #1 as well.

Pre-orders for Planet Zero can be purchased at shinedown.lnk.to/planetzero. Watch the video for “Planet Zero” below.

Diamante got things started taking to the stage and kicking her set off with “Ghost Myself” from her latest release, American Dream. Her short six song set was a solid mix of material from American Dream and Comin in Hot. The set included the Goo Goo Dolls cover “Iris” which features Benjamin Burnley of Break Benjamin.

Fans had to wait nearly five years for The Pretty Reckless’ latest release, Death by Rock and Roll but the wait was well worth it with the album hitting number one on the US Rock & Metal charts. The band were also nominated for Rock Artist of the Year and Rock Song of the Year at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards. The set kicked off with Light Me Up’s “Since You’re Gone” and then moved on to material from the latest release with, “Death by Rock and Roll,” “Only Love Can Save Me Now,” and “And So It Went.” The short eight song set wrapped up with hits, “Make Me Wanna Die,” “Going to Hell,” “Heaven Knows,” and “Take Me Down.” The Pretty Reckless left the stage leaving the fans wanting more and hoping that the band will announce a headlining tour of their own.

With their biggest production to date Shinedown have solidified themselves as a true arena band. The band have been crisscrossing their way across the country on the ‘Revolution’s Live Tour’ which kicked off back on April 1st in Spokane, WA and is slated to wrap up on May 7th in Knoxville, TN. Fans would be treated to a night of hit after hit and pyro, lots and lots of pyro. The lights dimmed and the two huge led panels split with the members of Shinedown walking out to greet fans before making their way to their places on stage and jumping into “The Saints of Violence and Innuendo” off of the upcoming Planet Zero release. Also make the set from the upcoming release were, “Planet Zero” and “Daylight”. Filling out the reset of the set were hit after hit spanning Shinedown’s career. The band paid homage to the late Taylor Hawkins with the cover of “Wheels” by the Foo Fighters before wrapping up the night’s set with, “Call Me,” “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and “Sound of Madness,”

The upcoming ‘Planet Zero’ will definitely be a must see tour, tickets can be purchased at www.shinedown.com.
