GRAMMY-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Carlos Santana, performed Wednesday night at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA. The concert was part of the “Oneness Tour,” which also featured the GRAMMY and Academy Award-nominated rock band Counting Crows. The summer tour will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Supernatural, which was a huge success for Santana being certified platinum fifteen times. Fans were treated to a night of iconic hits and high-energy performances from both bands. The concert was highly anticipated and did not disappoint, featuring a blend of Santana’s legendary Latin rock and Counting Crows’ distinct pop-rock sound.
The concert was part of a tour featuring Counting Crows, who co-headlined the event. They performed a solid set of their hits, including “Mr. Jones,” “Round Here,” and “A Long December,” as well as the Grateful Dead’s “Friend of the Devil” which was well-received by the crowd. Their set was marked by Adam Duritz’s emotive vocals and the band’s tight, cohesive sound and set the stage perfectly for Santana.
Carlos Santana, along with his band, delivered a mesmerizing performance featuring a blend of his classic hits and newer material. Santana’s setlist included iconic hits such as “Smooth,” “Maria Maria,” and “Black Magic Woman.” The performance showcased his extraordinary guitar skills and the band’s dynamic stage presence. The band’s tight musicianship and Santana’s legendary guitar solos were standout elements of the night.
The tour kicked off in Hollywood, FL at Hard Rock Live on June 14 making stops in Toronto, ON; Tinley Park, IL; Morrison, CO; Austin, TX and more before wrapping up in Phoenix, AZ at Footprint Center on September 02.
