Rombach’s Late Blast Lifts Fredericksburg Over Kannapolis, 4–1

The Fredericksburg Nationals staged a dramatic late-inning comeback to defeat the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers 4–1 on June 29, 2025, at Virginia Credit Union Stadium. Kannapolis struck first with an early RBI single but left runners on base all night, missing chances to extend their lead. Fredericksburg’s offense was held quiet until a decisive 8th inning, when Nate Rombach delivered a game-tying single and then crushed a three-run home run to secure the Nationals’ victory. Strong bullpen work from Fredericksburg closed the door in the final innings, handing Kannapolis a frustrating loss despite outhitting the Nationals overall.
