Mötley Crüe took to the stage for an intimate secret show last night at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC. Cryptic posts on the band’s socials last week announced that “1981” would be playing the 600-capacity venue, leading savvy Crüeheads to sell out tickets in under 5 minutes during last Thursday’s exclusive Crüeseum/S.I.N. Club pre-sale and last Friday’s general on-sale. Performing several Crüe classics, like “Kickstart My Heart” and “Shout at the Devil” to only a few hundred fans, the band also played their new No. 1 single, “Dogs of War,” live to a raging crowd. Watch a clip from last night’s surprise show HERE. “Dogs of War,” released on 4/26 alongside an easter egg-filled CGI video by video director Nick DenBoer, marks a brand-new chapter for the iconic band with their recent signing to Big Machine Records. WATCH THE “DOGS OF WAR” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO HERE Catch the Crüe on the road this year with select tour stops at major festivals, including Welcome to Rockville, Summerfest, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, and more. They’re looking towards a future where they, now more than 40 years in, still have something worth saying.” – PASTE “Written by the Crüe’s primary songwriter and bassist, Nikki Sixx, Lee, and their new guitarist, the incomparable John 5, the song is classic Crüe with a 3.0 upgrade. Harder and heavier than they’ve historically been, ‘Dogs of War’ breaks up the crunch and grind with stadium-ready, signature Crüe cries of ‘whoa-oh.’ Vocalist Vince Neil sounds in rare form, maximizing on the studio’s capabilities and delivering a sing-along-ability that rivals that of 1989’s ‘Kickstart My Heart.’ – SPIN Magazine “Kicking off with a brash, up-tempo riff, the song ultimately delivers exactly what you’d expect from the rock icons, retaining their old-school roots with frontman Vince Neil belting out a chorus of ‘Don’t let those bastards get you down’”. – NME Mötley Crüe 2024 Tour Dates May 9 — Daytona Beach, FL @ Welcome to Rockville June 22 — Milwaukee, WI @ Summerfest June 23 — Mt.
