Maryland Defeats USC 29-28

On October 19, 2024, the Maryland Terrapins pulled off a thrilling 29-28 comeback victory over the USC Trojans. USC controlled most of the game, holding a 28-14 lead late in the third quarter. Maryland then mounted a late rally, led by Billy Edwards Jr., who passed for multiple touchdowns and connected on a critical two-point conversion to tie the game. In the final minute, Maryland scored the game-winning touchdown, securing a dramatic victory after trailing for most of the contest.

key player performances included Maryland’s quarterback Billy Edwards Jr., who threw for 373 yards and 3 total touchdowns, completing 39 of 50 passes. Wide receiver Tai Felton caught 9 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, while running back Roman Hemby added solid rushing support. For USC, quarterback Miller Moss threw for 336 yards and 3 touchdowns, while running back Woody Marks contributed 82 rushing yards and a touchdown.
