Judas Priest At The Theater at MGM National Harbor 5-19-2024

Judas Priest delivered an electrifying performance to a sold out crowd at The Theater at MGM National Harbor on May 19, 2024, as part of their “Invincible Shield” tour. The band, known for its electrifying stage presence and heavy metal anthems, did not disappoint the fans who filled the venue. The band’s setlist featured a mix of classic hits and newer material, captivating the audience from start to finish.

Opening the night, Swedish power metal band Sabaton set the stage with their high-energy performance, which was well-received by the audience. Sabaton’s set included some of their most popular tracks, energizing the crowd and preparing them for the main act. Sabaton’s war-themed stage set up had a rifle with a helmet as their mic stands, and included an impressive tank drum kit. Sabaton served as an excellent opening act!

Things kicked off with “Panic Attack” from their latest album, followed by crowd favorites like “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’,” “Breaking the Law,” and “Living After Midnight”. The energy remained high throughout the night, with Rob Halford’s powerful vocals and commanding stage presence, the legendary front man proved that after nearly five decades of performing he still has what it takes to captivate an audience.

Highlights of the set included “Turbo Lover,” “Breaking the Law,” and “Painkiller,” showcasing Rob Halford’s impressive vocal range and the band’s tight musicianship. Of course no Judas Priest show would be complete without Rob Halford riding out on stage on a motorcycle for “Hell Bent for Leather.” The four song encore and the night wrapped up with “Living After Midnight.”

Overall, Judas Priest’s performance was a testament to their enduring legacy and proved they still have what it takes to deliver a top-notch heavy metal experience. Fans were treated to a blend of nostalgia and fresh tracks, making it a night to remember for metal enthusiasts. Judas Priest’s “Invincible Shield” tour has reinforced their status as heavy metal legends, still capable of delivering powerful performances that celebrate their long-standing legacy while introducing new material to their loyal fanbase.
