Judas Priest At The MGM in Oxon Hill, MD 3-31-2022

Judas Priest brought their 50 Heavy Metal Years tour to The Theater at MGM National Harbor, National Harbor, MD, on Thursday night. The show was rescheduled from last year due to guitarist Richie Faulkner suffering a ruptured aorta during the band’s performance at Louder Than Life back in September. Queensryche has replaced Sabaton for the rescheduled dates which kicked off back on March 4th in Peoria, IL and will wrap up on April 13th in Hamilton, Ontario.

The night’s setlist was a mix of old and new with the guys digging deep into their catalog with tracks like, “Rocka Rolla,” “Victim of Changes,” “Desert Plains,” “The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown),” and “Diamonds & Rust”. At 70 years young Rob Halford’s voice still sounds amazing and the packed house at the MGM couldn’t agree more as they erupted at the end of each song.

The night wrapped up with a double encore that could have easily been a Judas Priest greatest hits album on its own. The five song encore consisted of “The Hellion,” “Electric Eye,” “Hell Bent for Leather,” “Breaking the Law,” and “Living After Midnight”. Of course no Judas Priest show is complete without Rob riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle out on the stage for “Breaking the Law”.

Hopefully Rob and the guys will continue to tour and share their music with their younger fan base as well as all those old metal heads who just cant get enough of Judas Priest.
