Hootie & The Blowfish

Hootie & the Blowfish’s “Summer Camp With Trucks” tour brought a wave of nostalgia and feel-good vibes to Jiffy Lube Live on August 17, 2024. This tour, their first since 2019, celebrated the enduring appeal of their music and marked the anniversary of their iconic album Cracked Rear View.

The concert kicked off with “I Go Blind,” setting the tone for a night filled with fan favorites like “Wishing” and “I Will Wait.” Darius Rucker, as always, was the star of the show, effortlessly blending his rich vocals with the band’s signature sound.

The band also paid homage to their musical influences with covers of Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth” and R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion,” both of which were standout moments of the night. Edwin McCain, who opened the show, joined the band for a heartfelt performance of “Solitude,” showcasing the camaraderie and shared history between the artists.

Rucker’s solo hits, including “Alright” and “Wagon Wheel,” were also part of the setlist, drawing cheers from the crowd and blending seamlessly with Hootie’s classic rock sound.

The night concluded with massive singalongs to “Hold My Hand” and “Only Wanna Be With You,” leaving the audience on a high note. The concert was a perfect blend of nostalgia, musicianship, and entertainment, leaving fans with memories of a summer night filled with great music.
