Framing Hanley's Envy

This is a long-awaited comeback for Framing Hanley and their fans! It has been six years and followers are showing excitement for the upcoming February 21st, 2020, release of Envy. The first three singles have been released and are getting their share of stream time. Puzzle Pieces, Baggage Claim, and Throwing Knives have reached over 16 million streams combined.

Framing Hanley is:

Kenneth Nixon (vocals)

Ryan Belcher (guitars)

Jonathan Stoye (bass)

Shad Teems (drums)

Nic Brooks (guitars)

Envy via Thermal Entertainment and produced by Kenneth Nixon and Josh Baker has been three years in the making. The band has three prior releases that came before the band taking a break in 2015. The Moment (2007), A Promise To Burn (2010) and The Sum Of Who We Are (2014) all hit big numbers on the charts landing on the Billboard Top 200.

Puzzle Pieces is a song that will hit many listeners pretty deep. Singer Kenneth Nixon’s bout with depression after the band’s hiatus led to him evaluating his mental health and how he treated it. The song begins, “Medicated to the point of apathy, each day another little pill to swallow…”, this is a nod to the antidepressants his doctors prescribed. Kenneth decided early in that he did not want to feel like a little pill had more control over his life than he did.

During this time, Nixon also found himself seeing how social and everyday influences impact how we live by what’s viewed as acceptable. Feeling the need to issue a call to action of sorts, the chorus and second verse are fairly straightforward. He challenges everyone, himself included, to do better, live more, love more and by doing so, make a difference in the world around us.

The remainder of the album tracks will not disappoint either. Misery and Forgiveness Is An Art are two standout tracks that grab the listener’s attention. The lyrics on Envy describe many of the struggles we encounter in our daily lives. From relationships to government, Framing Handley has used this comeback album to touch on a lot of hard-hitting topics. Pre-order here.
