Bears Pull Off 3-2 OT Comeback Against Phantoms

 

The Hershey Bears defeated the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in an intense game that ended in overtime, with Hershey claiming a 4-3 victory on December 7, 2024, during the annual Teddy Bear Toss event.

Henrik Rybinski scored the tying goal with under three seconds remaining in regulation and Chase Priskie netted the game-winner in sudden death as the Hershey Bears (16-5-3-0) clawed back from a 2-1 deficit for a 3-2 overtime victory over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (9-7-4-1) on Saturday night at PPL Center.

Period Highlights:
First Period:
Both teams played a scoreless opening frame, with the Phantoms narrowly outshooting the Bears, 7-6.

Second Period:
Lehigh Valley took the lead early in the second period with Jacob Gaucher scoring at 19:30.

Third Period:
Ethan Bear tied things up in the third with a goal at 12:11. The Phantoms answered retaking the lead with a goal from Helge Grans at 16:21. With less than three seconds left in the game Henrik Rybinkski tied the game at 2-2 forcing a sudden death overtime.

Overtime:
Defenseman Chase Priskie secured the win for Hershey with a goal at 4:39 to secure the win for the Bears.
