LA-based multi-lingual rock artist DIAMANTE has released her much anticipated new single, titled “Obvious”. The blue haired siren’s first offering of the new decade comes with the news of her departure from her old label & publisher. With multiple top 15 singles on the Active Rock charts already to her credit, the 23 year old singer has signed a distribution deal with Ingrooves and plans to release a tidal wave of music in 2020 as an independent artist. “Obvious” was produced by her long time creative partner and legendary producer Howard Benson, along with Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace.

“This release (Obvious) is especially exciting because it’s my first independent release in five years.” Diamante offers, adding, “Now that I’m no longer signed to a label, I’ve realized the endless possibilities that come with this new freedom. At first I felt overwhelmed, but now I feel empowered to be able to take the risks I have always wanted to take, make the music I’ve always wanted to make, move unconventionally, and blaze my own blue trail.”

“‘Obvious’ is about the suffering that comes with unrequited love, and knowing that no amount of success, character, charm or beauty will ever be enough to keep this person. It’s about the pain of watching someone slip away from your grasp, for somebody else, right before your very eyes.” – Diamante Azzura

About DIAMANTE:

Since Diamante’s inception, she has made a name for herself as a bi-lingual artist, with hits recorded in both English and Spanish. Born to an Italian father and Mexican mother in a Boston suburb, standing out from the crowd was her norm. Interchangeably speaking three languages—Italian, Spanish, and English—she found inspiration in words, penning poetry and short stories at a young age.

Diamante spent her teenage years performing at local gigs on the Sunset Strip; devoting every waking minute to honing her own signature sound. “Being on stage and singing rock was the way I broke out of my shell and was able to realize who I am and the full potential I have,” she admits. “From there, I really connected to the women of the eighties like Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, and Debbie Harry. I thought they were so cool, iconic, and badass. That’s how I wanted to be.”

After the release of her debut studio album, Coming in Hot, in 2018, Diamante didn’t turn down the heat. She spent that summer touring with Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, and Five Finger Death Punch. Her collaboration that year with Bad Wolves, “Hear Me Now,” would hit #1 on the Active Rock charts. She went out with Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace in the summer of 2019, and closed the year out on her first ever headlining run; ingeniously titled the “Blue Balls” holiday tour.

Last year, Diamante hit the studio with super producer Howard Benson, as well as Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace. Howard calls her “the only true heir to the female rock throne that has been vacant since Joan Jett’s heyday.” Diamante speaks just as highly of him. “Howard really pushed me to be vulnerable and talk about things I was afraid to talk about,” she says. “I finally got the courage to be honest with my lyrics and myself. I want to be someone girls and guys growing up can relate to.”

Together, they recorded her new single, “Obvious.” “The first time I heard Diamante’s idea for the song, my impression was that it’s about delicate, tragic love.” says Sanderson, “Then we decided to experiment with making it hard hitting sonically. The end result is a delicate heaviness.”

Her first release as an independent artist since becoming a breakout star in the Rock world, it’s “Obvious” that Diamante is poised to forge her own brilliant, blue path.
